I m not interested in her. She is divisive person who is has injected herself into the FL politics and decided to play queen maker NO thanks. The moment she stops being a purist and allows the voters to chose is the moment I might giver her a chance.

The South abandoned democracy, equality, and justice a long time ago. And continues to do so in every generation. We didn't abandon them, they seceded, and when they lost the war, established Jim Crow and the KKK. Blue states pay their bills, while they paint us as "Commies".

Your frustration is totally legit! But I just wanted to provide Amanda’s thoughts on the matter.

“There's such disdain from people outside of the South towards the region. Like, "Well, y'all are getting what you voted for." Excuse me? The majority of the Black population of this country lives in the South. Are they getting what they voted for? No. There are millions of Democrats in the South. There are more Democrats in Texas than there are populations of most states.

I mean, more North Carolinians actually voted for Democrats in their state legislature last time than Republicans, but they have a Republican super majority because of gerrymandering. That's politicians, not the people.

And we are not gonna just pretend like those people don't exist, that their work doesn't matter, that they haven't been busting their asses for decades to keep the party alive in the South while the rest of you have been ignoring us because you wrote us off as a bunch of hicks.

We don't talk about Ohio like that either. We shouldn't talk about any red state like it's a foregone conclusion full of dumb-dumbs who should just be like sold off into the Atlantic Ocean, right? Like, we are a nation of 50 states, no man left behind."

Having been a Democrat in the South for 75 years, I remember when we flipped from blue to red. It’s not helpful to label an entire region as a lost cause, especially when it is possible to flip the region again, and we are starting to see those cracks. Let’s all get on board to help Democrats in the South fighting hard in the South and anywhere else.

That is an untrue generalization. There are many people in the southern states who donor fit the southern stereotype and the reaso
