We Keep Winning in Virginia
"This is the beginning of the end of Trump's reckless agenda"
This week, Democrat James Walkinshaw was elected to Virginia’s 11th Congressional District, taking over for his former mentor, Rep. Gerry Connolly, who sadly passed away in May.
Walkinshaw outperformed expectations in the district and won about 75% of the vote, 16 points up from what Kamala Harris won it by in November. Now, he was already expected to win — but many people expected him to win by the same margin that Harris won the district in 2024. The fact that he won by 16 more points than Harris is giving Americans hope that voters are fighting back at the ballot box.
This is the beginning of the end for Donald Trump’s reckless agenda.

Like all elections, this was a community effort, but we want to especially thank TroubleNation group NoVA’s Childless Cat Ladies for all their hard work connecting with voters across the district. We wrote about them earlier this year to celebrate their work in the Loudoun County school district, and it’s great to see them continuing to make good trouble in their community!
These Troublemakers helped make sure people in their community turned out to vote during the special election, where roughly 150,000 ballots were cast.
Wilkinson will head to Congress in the coming weeks. Let’s keep this momentum going into November!

Earle-Sears and Ramaswamy are geared up to repeat the same old tied rhetoric about “with hard work, faith, and freedom, every family can thrive.” This is one of the biggest lies ever told to Americans especially black Americans. Have these two candidates ignored all the job cuts, expensive prices on all goods? Do you think Americans will have a better chance under her leadership? Not when you align yourself with extremism and hate. Vote for the person that will be good for all people and to just one person.
Will these candidates provide a supportive community for the people who have been impacted by job loss or other challenges? The answer is no because they can’t go against the status quo. Their loyalty is misplaced, tethered to the illusion of grandeur for one person and these two candidates would be detrimental to this nation. Vote NO for both.
