The New Project 2026
What the Heritage Foundation has planned for the year ahead
The conservative Heritage Foundation, which has played a pivotal role in shaping Republican policy since the 1980s, released its 2026 priorities – or as we like to call it, Project 2026.
They’re pushing for a world where only one kind of family is acceptable, education and reproductive care are harder to access, and even more of our immigrant neighbors are torn from their communities.
It’s a playbook designed to strip away our freedoms one by one.

In the outline, the organization is leaning even harder into some of its most extreme positions, many of which overlap with the Trump administration’s agenda and Project 2025.
From immigration to “traditional family values,” the influential organization lays out a wide-ranging set of priorities aimed at influencing policymakers and reshaping federal policy.
Here are some of their top priorities:
“Traditional Family Values”
The Heritage Foundation calls for “restoring the nuclear family to the center of American life” and argues that children should be born to a married “mother and father,” signaling opposition to same-sex marriage.
The plan also reduces access to abortion and reproductive care, even though 20 states already have abortion restrictions, and women in entire parts of the country (such as the South) don’t have any access to abortion.
Immigration Restrictions
With immigration and criminal enforcement at the center of Trump’s first year, Heritage wants an even more aggressive system to preserve “national integrity,” and says it will use messaging to “encourage enforcement of the law.” This means more use of force by ICE, more families being separated, and more fear within our communities.
Department of Education
Trump signed an executive order earlier this year targeting the Department of Education, and Heritage says it will back efforts to fully eliminate the agency. The group aims to limit federal control over K–12 education and to “reclaim higher education from the radical Left.”
The only way to prevent the implementation of Project 2025 and 2026 is to stay on top of what they’re doing. Our Project 2025 tracker on our website lays it all out, along with concrete ways you can push back against their dangerous agenda.

I heard “Rick Wilson” recently 12/12/25, say something about the Republicans and their having a plan, first Gingrich’s and now Project 2025. Like it’s better to have one than not.
