The Current Administration is Attacking our Children

The Trump Administration’s War on Children - ProPublica

The RWB Take: There have been extreme cuts all across our federal government, but not enough attention is being paid to how these cuts will affect children all over the country.

Some of these cuts include:

1. Funding for the office that enforces child support payments.

2. Funding to investigate cases of child sexual abuse and internet crimes against children.

3. Funding for the Head Start preschool program.

4. Funding to states to run their child welfare, foster care and adoption programs.

5. Funding for disability services for kids.

And let’s not forget that the Trump Administration would like to completely eliminate the Department of Education — ya know, the entity responsible for ensuring ALL kids have access to a fair and equitable education.

The Trump administration is busy pretending to be pro-family and pro-life, but in reality, they are cutting millions of dollars from programs that kids and families across the country rely on. And there is nothing pro-family about that.
