Oklahoma will now require high school history teachers to include lessons on the false claim that the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump.
The revised social studies standards instruct students to analyze election outcomes and investigate baseless claims of mail-in voter fraud and election security pushed by Trump (which were thoroughly discredited, by the way).
Despite Donald Trump's numerous claims of election fraud, election officials, cybersecurity experts, and even members of his own administration have repeatedly refuted them!
Former Attorney General William Barr even stated that the Justice Department and the FBI had investigated these claims but had “not seen fraud on a scale that could have affected a different outcome in the election.”
The new curriculum, developed by a review committee that includes Heritage Foundation president and Project 2025 architect Kevin Roberts, is just one of several changes pushed by State Superintendent Ryan Walters, including requiring Bibles in every classroom.
Our kids deserve facts, not propaganda.
What happens in Oklahoma won’t stay in Oklahoma forever. If Trump and his allies get their way, schools nationwide will take a similar turn, so don’t wait until it reaches your classroom.
Speak up now.
With the passage of SB1, we are setting Ohio up for similar controls over our edcation systems. There are petitions out now to "stop the steal" of our education systems. We all need to get involved in securing enough signatures to get the repeal of SB1 on the November ballot.
They will be teaching lies…
