Meet the Ohio Women Who Joined Forces to Support Immigrant Families
Some hope for your Friday
When Jennie, a member of the TroubleNation group Hope in the Heights, decided to gather donations for AMIS, an Ohio nonprofit that provides asylum-seeking immigrants with housing, food, clothing, and other assistance, she knew exactly where to start: collaborating with other Red Wine & Blue groups in the area.
Together, Hope in the Heights and another Northeast Ohio group, Raising Our Vote, collected enough items for AMIS to distribute cleaning and hygiene products to 18 local families.
After partnering on the donation drive, the groups hosted a hands-on training on how the Ohio Statehouse works, equipping members with practical skills and showing the real power of collaboration.
Ohio women are starting 2026 strong, already leading the charge and building momentum for this pivotal election year. If you’re interested in finding a TroubleNation group in your community or starting a new group, you can learn more here!
