Our TroubleNation Good Z Trouble group recently had its first event in North Carolina, and let us tell you, these kids are ready to make some noise!
The goal of their group is to engage Gen Z in the political discourse of their future. The mission? Provide clarity, hope, and inspiration to members through community activism, social in-person connections, and reliable educational events and materials, driving engagement and awareness of current events that will have lasting effects.
“We want millennials and boomers to hear us out and show us how to take action.”
The Good Z Trouble group began with one of our TroubleMakers, Ellen, who was driven by a passion for organizing and educating Gen Z. What started as her personal mission quickly grew into an official TroubleNation group!

For their first event, Ellen hosted a listening session at a local coffee shop, where Gen Zers gathered around paper, markers, and a set of thoughtful questions to spark conversation and connection.
Their number one priority? Organizing to get sidewalks in Cumberland and Hoke Counties, since they struggle to get anywhere due to unwalkable areas.
And by connecting with their community and starting a group, they’re nailing this week’s Summer of Action theme. Community is the best antidote to division, so we can’t wait to hear how you’re building community this week!
