ICE Killed a Father in Front of His 3-Year-Old Daughter

On July 13, ICE officers in Maine fatally shot Joan Sebastian Durán Guerrero, a 26-year-old Colombian immigrant, in front of his 3-year-old daughter.

Durán Guerrero was authorized to work in the U.S., had a Social Security number, and was not the target of ICE's operation.

Durán Guerrero is the 11th person fatally shot by federal immigration officials since Trump began his second term, and the second fatal ICE shooting in less than a week.

Just days earlier, ICE agents fatally shot Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a 52-year-old husband and devoted father of three, while searching for someone else.
