RWB's Katie Paris talks with journalist Jennifer Rubin

This week, Katie Paris was on the podcast “Jen Rubin’s Green Room” to chat about all things Red Wine & Blue. You can listen to the episode here (or, as they say, wherever you get podcasts).

Katie and Jen discussed the value of community and empowerment among women, the importance of joy in activism, and the power of mutual aid during crises. Katie also told the story of Red Wine & Blue — why she founded this organization and what we do differently than other political orgs or campaigns.

Jen was actually a guest on The Suburban Women Problem back in Season 1. At that time, she’d been a journalist at the Washington Post for over a decade. But just this month, she left WaPo to start her own news publication right here on Substack called

The Contrarian

. Her tagline, “Not owned by anybody,” is a reference to billionaire Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos and other moguls who she says have “bent the knee” to Donald Trump.
