I love this idea that politics can be a form of self care! Heather really gets it when she talks about connecting with neighbors and remembering we're all in this togther. The way she writes every single day without burning out is so impressiv. Her point about focusing on We The People instead of the friends and enemies framing really resonated with me. It's about building comunity rather than just doom scrolling, you know?

This is such a grat premise for a podcast! Heather's approach to writing her daily newsletter without burnout is something I really admire. The idea that civic engagemnt can actually be a form of self care rather than exhausting is spot on. Her optimism about people remebering 'We The People' gives me hope that grassroots organizing really does matter. Thanks for this conversation!

I’m in the “complete retreat from politics camp” for a day or two as part of my self care. I’m hoping to find a balance where I can stay connected somehow at all times without a cost to my sanity. This topic being discussed intrigues me.

Just started following your podcast on Spotify and let a few of my friends know as well. Thank you!

Words matter. And to think of this as “something that is happening in “politics” is mislabeling it. It is what is happening TO OUR COUNTRY.
